Caught in my net
I don't go to a lot of group shoots because I like to work at my own pace and it's easier to work with one model than trying to think of different ideas for a lot of different models. At this shoot I ended up focusing on two models mostly, although I shot four. The two girls I focused on were Nina and Dollie. Two very lovely girls. Both around 5ft tall. We all shot at Phil's house and he had a net hanging in the backyard. It made a great prop for the shoot. Anytime I shoot out of the studio I open up the aperture really wide which was important in this shoot since the background would have been way too busy. I can't wait until Medium Format digital is affordable (either it gets cheaper or I get richer) so I can really open up the lens. I did also shoot Shauntia, but for long enough. I actually came up with an awesome idea to shoot with her.
Nina

This was the first time working with Nina. So beautiful and those eyes! Eyes make the shot!

Now I want to buy a net!

In photography you use the natural lines of the environment to lead the eye to the model.
As if you weren't going to look at her anyways

It actually worked pretty well when the models feet couldn't reach the floor without pointing them straight down.
Dollie

Just a little exposed for the start of this set.

Even though I love shooting black and white it was a tough decision with beautiful blue eyes.

Trying an abstract here. Do you think this would make a good postcard?

Backshot in the back seat

Safety first!

I should probably mention the socks, but I'm sure they were the last thing you noticed
A classic look that will never go out of style
